Yes, I am a self professed science geek - and with that comes that bit of an egocentric thing - yes everybody deep down wants to be a science geek - and I think that was the mother of some of these corporate metrics. Corporate analysts & HR number crunchers have created these parameters of quantitative assessment - ultimately with the goal of establishing "is it a good thing or a bad thing" for the bottom line - profit. Tell me, have you ever just rushed through a customer satisfaction survey to get it done, or is it ever influenced maybe by current mood? When these ROI formulas, and these tantric metrics are applied to wellness programs - do they really measure employee satisfaction, corporate appreciation, never mind - I don't think they measure the most important aspect of the wellness initiative- did the person (note referred to as a person here, not employee) really accomplish a lifestyle change & a path to a better, healthier life?
